The Course
This Sage Intermediate course is presented in an interactive, user-friendly style, and in the clearest possible language. Each new concept is explained in text and illustrated with informative pictures, screenshots and diagrams. We also provide an accompanying CD Rom.
Distance Learning Course Aims
- By the end of this course, you should be able to do the following:
- Enter and process prepayments and accruals
- Set up fixed assets; depreciate, write off and delete assets
- Create BOMs - bills of materials - from stock items; transfer products; set up special customer prices and product price lists
- Enter and process purchase orders and sales orders; generate purchase orders from product shortfalls for sales orders; check and allocate payments against assoiated sales invoices
- Set up purchase order and sales order skeletons; use the skeletons to create new orders; create purchase invoice entries from details held on purchase orders
- Send statements and reminder letters; use the search option to limit the number of records displayed
- Use the Credit Charges Wizard to make charges for late payment under the terms of the late payment legislation
- Write off bad debts
- Use the Sage Task Manager; enter, view and delete tasks; pay bills using the Sage task Manager
The Syllabus
Oxford Open Learning offers Sage courses at three levels: Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. Students are required to start with the Beginners module unless they have previous experience. Certificates are available for those who complete each of these modules. To complete a module, a student must submit each of the assignments in that module and score at least 50% for each. There are no exams.
Special Requirements
Our course is written for and based on the Sage Line 50 vB Financial Controller package. We recommend that potential students contact us if they have another Sage package or a different version of Sage Line 50 vB and we will advise on its suitability for use with our course.
Duration
We will provide tuition for three months per module and each level requires 20-30 hours of study.
