Microsoft Office Specialist
Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) is one of the premier Microsoft desktop qualifications and, as such, is globally recognised.
Office Specialist certification acknowledges that you have the expertise to work with Microsoft Office programs. Individuals who have gained this qualification have reported increased competence and productivity with Microsoft Office programs as well as increased credibility with their employers, co-workers, and clients.
One of the most important advantages of the MOS is that it is a flexible qualification. Study hours are likely to be dependent on the needs of the individual candidate. Generally, we advise three months per module and between 3 -4 hours of study a week.
The Courses
Oxford Open Learning provides the three MOS modules
Word
Powerpoint
Excel
and the optional Access module.
Special Requirements
All of these modules are geared to the 2000 and XP versions of Microsoft's popular program, however nearly all of the techniques are also relevant to other versions.
Examinations
MOS students can register for their exams as they complete each module. It takes seven days to arrange the exams. Students can find their nearest accredited test centre via the Microsoft website (follow the link ,above right) and following the step by step instructions. If the student does not have access to the Internet, we will provide them with the information.
